Indian progressive death metal band Midhaven have been
making a name for themselves after releasing an EP and a full length album in
2013 and 2014 respectively. The full length album "Spellbound" deals
with themes of battles among the Indian and the Norse gods.
The band recently unveiled a fantastic new artwork titled
God Of Destruction which draws from lyrical themes explored in the album. The
artwork depicts Shiva in a meditative position while holding his trident and
with his serpents coiled around him. Karan Kaul, vocalist of Midhaven says
“Shiva is one of the protagonists in our concept album Spellbound. The artwork
is our interpretation of what the God Of Destruction looks like.“ The artwork
is done by Akash Dwivedi, who is starting to gain some name in the underground
metal scene in the country.
The artwork is on sale on Paintcollar, with posters and
t-shirts of the print availability.
